Admittedly... It's been a bit difficult to understand your request, but I think I got it now.

Zim and the Tallest, yes. That's in fact contradicting. Because he IS loyal and obedient to their word... And he isn't. He accepts their orders, salutes them off and promptly disobeys once his mind hops on another track all over again. As much as Zim admires his Tallest, he doesn't see them as failproof. Because Zim is still better than them due to being Zim and if necessary he will force them to see this.

With 'The Trial' in the back of your mind, one can easily blame this on Zim being a Defective. He is equipped with a defective PAK and thus his programming is... Bad. Bad enough to drive three Control Brains insane at the same time. There really isn't much logic. It's mostly madness. And an Irken that, unlike most of his kind, thinks for himself rather than following the programming he received from the Control Brains. It's probably just bad luck that this individual mind is criminally insane.

Other species? They're inferior. Clearly. And Zim expects everyone to be aware of that. Though you can't quite say he teams up with other individuals reluctantly. He's actually quite quick to assume whichever role in order to get a bunch of complete strangers to do his very bidding and help him to his quite personal gain. More often than not he just sacrifizes his allies or just leaves them behind [The mall prisoners in 'FBI Warning of DOOM', his squad in 'Hobo 13', the blob-thing in 'Abducted'...] - It's a bit different the few times he has to team up with Dib. But that's probably rather because Dib is also a main character of the show and thus can't just die or be left to his doom. But we see that Zim rescues him in 'Halloween Spectacular of Spooky DOOM' only to get out of Dib's mental world.

Whoever he deals with, Zim is selfish about it and only aim for his own benefits without paying any mind to temporary or permanent damage he may be doing to those he (ab)uses. They aren't important at all. Only Zim is. Zim and his mission. One may also note that Zim acts equally condescending towards other members of his own race.

As for the PAK... I don't think it needs to be that stuffed, really. Let's just stick to the basics: disguise, legs, tendrils, gun, visual aids and one of those small handheld scanners/communicator things. While they come in all shapes and designs... One is enough, really. Also... Don't really need him to run around and steal the brains of the other inmates. As much fun as that may be.

A thing I missed to mention: Zim has an inbuild self-destruct mechanism on his right wrist. I assume they would want to deactivate/get rid of that one. He might press it if necessary. And knowing Irken technology it probably creates a black hole or something.
