Seto slowly opened the dome to let the moonlight enter in the observatory and climbed up the stairs to reach his new small and comfortable bed, it still had his old man's smell on it, and try to relax a little: without his that person, he never even got his name, were boring, sad and empty, especially night-time... it was probably the worse part of the day: nothing to do, almost no animals wandering around, it was just... depressing. He sit down, grabbing his adoptive grandfather's flashlight and turning it on before grabbing one of the many books around, taking a look and trying to understand what his 'grandpa' kept studying until his death. Nothing, just a bunch of weird words about some kind of science Seto could just read without really understanding, it was almost a completely different language for him.
"Phew... how boring." He murmured to break the silence around him, a cat 'answered' meowing from the library and then nothing again. At least when that man was alive, even if he had to sleep on the lower level of the building, without a real mattress and without a proper light, that person's loud snoring reassured him while now... He sighed, leaning on the bed and looking up at the sky. "The moon is so pretty, isn't it, Seto?" He asked himself, enjoying the sight and feeling alone at the same time. It was going to be a long night, again.
First-Person Sample:
I feel sorry for crow and Sai, I left them behind, but being... trapped here is one of the best things I- it's so... there are so many people here! And I know they all want to leave but I'm happy and I'll be happy as long as I'm here with them. I saw them, I even touched one of them and that person was so warm... Oh, am I talking with myself again? That's no good. I'd better go to sleep, tomorrow they'll teach me how to use that... radio-thing. I don't really get it, the things they have here are so... weird. Oh, well...
[He leans on his bed]
Goodnight, Seto.
Anything else? : Nope? Just that I'd rather pick a character who'll try to get friends and will be probably in a good mood as long as someone's around instead of a young lady who will probably lock herself in her room (Poniko).
